Job summary

GRETA Arcade Bar Street Food in Calgary is seeking a guest-focused Server on a part-time or full-time basis. You will guide guests through our drink and food offerings, assist with arcade game recommendations, and ensure a fun, seamless dining experience.

This role requires strong communication, multitasking in a fast-paced setting, and a proactive attitude toward guest satisfaction and safety. ProServe certification is required or can be obtained before the first shift.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on serving in a restaurant is preferred.
• Be fun, dependable, sociable and genuine for a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Provide simple instructions on arcade game operation and recommend popular choices.
• Share origins and flavors of authentic international street food options.
• Maintain accuracy and honesty in cash handling and POS transactions.
• Assist with opening/closing duties including restocking, cleaning, and setup.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, stations, and restrooms as needed.
• Restock supplies and communicate inventory needs for efficiency.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate with team for smooth service transitions.
• Check IDs when required and monitor alcohol service per AGLC/ProServe.

Position Overview:

As a Server, you play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through warm, attentive service and a genuine passion for hospitality. You’ll guide guests through our unique drink and food offerings, provide arcade game recommendations, and ensure each interaction is fun, seamless, and memorable. Beyond service, you'll contribute to a clean and organized environment, assist with restocking and shift transitions, and support your team during busy rushes. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and a proactive attitude toward guest satisfaction and safety.

• Possess 1-3 years of hands-on experience serving in a restaurant environment is preferred, ensuring confidence and proficiency in providing top-notch service.

• Confidently upsell food and beverage options to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, or willingness to be trained.
• Must possess valid ProServe certification or be willing to obtain prior to first shift.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and honesty in cash handling and POS transactions
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking, cleaning, and setup
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, stations, and restrooms as needed.
• Restock supplies and communicate inventory needs to ensure service efficiency
• Communicate clearly and collaborate with all team members to support smooth service transitions
• Check guest ID when required and monitor guest behavior to ensure safe alcohol consumption and compliance with AGLC and ProServe standards.

Availability Requirements

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical shifts range between 4–8 hours and may extend into late night hours.
