Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler is seeking a Bartender for the Mallard Lounge to deliver exceptional service and craft beverages for our guests. This full-time, seasonal role runs November 2026 through April 2027 with an starting wage of 19.35 CAD per hour; wages increase after six months and at year three to 25.75 CAD.

Candidates should have bartending experience, strong beverage knowledge, POS experience, and a Serving It Right BC certificate.

Job Description

Bartender

As a Bartender in our Mallard Lounge restaurant, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and flavors that are hallmarks of our restaurant experience. Your warm, attentive guest service, and passion for mixology is worth raising a glass to!

This is a full-time, seasonal position starting in November 2026 and ending in April 2027.

Starting Rate of Pay: $19.35 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $25.75.

Job Duties Include

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience
• Excellent knowledge of all beverage products
• Previous POS experience preferred
• Serving It Right BC Certificate
