Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler is seeking a skilled Bartender for the Mallard Lounge. This is a full-time, seasonal role from November 2026 to April 2027, with a starting rate of CAD 19.35 per hour.

The position offers a path to higher pay after six months and again at three years, plus staff perks. You will serve guests with warmth and expertise, advise on beverage options, stock and manage bar items, and maintain knowledge of menus and promotions.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of beverage products.
• POS system familiarity is preferred.
• Serving It Right BC Certificate is required.

Job Description

As a Bartender in our Mallard Lounge restaurant, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and flavors that are hallmarks of our restaurant experience. Your warm, attentive guest service, and passion for mixology is worth raising a glass to!

This is a full-time, seasonalposition starting in November 2026 and ending in April 2027.

Starting Rate of Pay:$19.35 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $25.75.

Job Duties Include:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods

Qualifications

• Previous POS experience preferred
• Serving It Right BC Certificate
