Job summary

Clive’s Classic Lounge in Victoria, Australia, is seeking a part-time bartender to join our bar team. This role offers 2-3 shifts per week with a requirement to work Saturdays and Sundays, supporting a dynamic and seasonal cocktail program at our venue.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of F&B service experience, Serving It Right certification, and deep knowledge of spirits, wine and beer, with a special focus on cocktails. Previous bar experience is highly valued.

Clive’s Classic Lounge has etched itself into the heart of Victoria as the city’s longest standing cocktail bar. Established in 2008, Clive’s quickly became an internationally respected pillar in the cocktail community.

Our passion for cocktails is fueled by the desire to introduce guests to unique and magical cocktail experiences with each visit to our bar. The Clive’s bar team is continually reinventing themselves with exciting cocktails for our dynamic and seasonally changing cocktail program. As of November 1, 2026; we are opening for six days of the week (Adding Sunday) and this means we have an opening for a part-time Bartender. This is a 2-3 shifts a week role. Must be available to work Saturday & Sundays.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Mix and serve high quality cocktails in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the drinks, food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar, service areas and equipment.
Complete any necessary opening or closing duties depending on the shift.
Complete cash-out at the end of service shift.
Assist the Bar Manager in the creation of seasonal cocktail menus, cocktail prep and ice cutting.
Follow established procedures and policies when completing tasks.
Be an Ambassador for the Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites and Clive’s Classic Lounge.

Qualifications:

Must have Serving It Right certification
Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine and beer with a specific focus in cocktails.
2-3 years previous food and beverage service experience necessary.
Must possess strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Proven communication skills and ability to work positively in a team environment and respond well to direction.
