What you will do:

Hourly Bartender - TRR

The Rec Room’s Bartenders are essential team members who provide an exceptional dining experience. They prepare alcoholic drinks, pour wine and beer, and serve in various venues like restaurants, bars, and lounges. The ideal candidate is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about standard drink recipes, adaptable to guest preferences, and thrives in a fast-paced, social environment.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Taking and fulfilling drink orders, garnishing, serving drinks, collecting payments, and operating POS systems.
2. Maintaining cleanliness, including cleaning work areas, washing glasses, and washing utensils.
3. Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed, and restocking the bar.
4. Ensuring safety by checking IDs, monitoring alcohol consumption, refusing service when necessary, and arranging safe transportation for guests.

Qualifications:

This role may be suitable if you:

• Have a High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Are of the legal drinking age.
• Have 1-2 years of bartending experience.
• Can work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have completed bartending courses (preferred).
• Know drink recipes and possess good time management and organizational skills.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold a provincially recognized alcohol handling certificate.
