Bridgehead is seeking a Barista to join our McRae location in Ottawa. You will deliver warm hospitality, prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

Ideal candidates bring customer service experience, a friendly, team-oriented attitude, and a passion for community and sustainability. This is a full-time role requiring flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to our values.

For over 40 years, Bridgehead has been sourcing and supporting a family of small-scale, sustainable farmers around the world. Today, we have 17 locations across Ottawa and employ over 300 team members. Requirements:

• Experience in Customer Service is considered an asset
• Established professional, empathetic, and engaged customer service model
• Team player
• Comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks
• Verified record of punctuality/attendance and time management

Physical Requirements:

• Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift up to 30 kg, and to work at counter height for up to an 8-hour shift
• Constant computer, POS, and bar equipment use at counter height
• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and/or rotation of the wrist and spine
• Efficient oral communication, receiving, interpreting, and providing detailed information to customers and employees
• Clarity of vision at near and/or far distance
• Occasionally be able to accurately distinguish and describe flavors and odours.

• Ability to understand and carry out instructions delivered both orally and in written format - and request clarification if necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous coffeehouse or customer service experience
• Safe food handling certificate
• Knowledge and/or love of coffee and tea
