Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler in Whistler, BC is hiring a Deli Attendant / Barista to deliver warm, knowledgeable service at our Portobello outlet. These are full-time, seasonal roles with start dates in Oct–Dec 2026 and end in Apr/May 2027.

Starting rate $18.80/hour, with increases after 6 months and then yearly to $23.45 at year three. Responsibilities include explaining menu items, maintaining deli cleanliness, preparing hot beverages, creating specialty coffees, and replenishing bakery items to

• Previous barista and/or deli experience in a high volume environment is required.
• Must hold a Serving It Right Certificate.

Deli Attendant / Barista

As a Deli Attendant / Barista, your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes guests to our Portobello outlet feel unique and valued.

These are full-time, seasonal positions. We have roles beginning in October, November, and December 2026, and ending in April/May 2027.

Starting Rate of Pay: $18.80 per hour. We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $23.45.

Job Duties Include

• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way with expert knowledge of all ingredients, etc.


• Maintain overall cleanliness and maintenance of deli, take-out window and seating area


• Responsible for making hot beverages and ensuring consistent quality is upheld


• Create specialty coffees


• Replenish bakery items as required in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous barista and/or deli experience in a high volume environment is required
