Mon Pitou Bistro & Bakery in Vancouver is seeking a part-time Barista/All-Rounder to join the team. The role offers 15–25 hours per week with mandatory weekend shifts and flexible weekday availability.

Shifts are typically 6 hours (e.g., 6 AM start, 7 PM finish). You will handle espresso-based coffee, sandwich prep, morning bake-off, and customer service while maintaining pastry displays and store presentation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of barista experience in a busy cafe.
• Weekend availability required (Sat/Sun).
• Able to start at 6 AM and finish by 8 PM.
• Fluent in English.
• FoodSafe certification is a bonus.
• Proactive and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Close the shop at 7 PM.
• Open the shop at 6 AM.
• Make coffee using semi-automatic espresso machine.
• Prepare sandwiches.
• Bake pastries in morning.
• Assist customers with product inquiries.
• Sell retail products (Uber/DoorDash).
• Package retail food products.
• Maintain pastry displays.
• Build rapport with customers.
• Restock products and supplies.
• Adhere to sanitation codes and deep cleaning.
• Dishwashing and housekeeping duties.
• Represent the company professionally.

Mon Pitou is hiring a part-time Barista/All-Rounder to join our team. This position ranges 15-25 hours per week with mandatory weekend and flexible weekday availability.

Shifts are typically 6 hours, with the possibility of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Closing shift (7 PM end)
• Opening shift (6 AM start)
• Fulfill coffee orders using a semi-automatic espresso machine
• Fulfill sandwich orders
• Perform the morning bake-off (proofing and baking pastries)
• Assist with product inquiries
• Sell our retail products, including on Uber and DoorDash.
• Package retail food products
• Organize and maintain pastry displays
• Build rapport with new customers and returning customers
• Restock products & supplies
• Adhere to all sanitation codes, such as deep clean duties
• Dishwashing and housekeeping duties
• Professionally and knowledgeably represent the company.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

*Must provide consistent commitment & availability*

• Must have Saturday and Sunday availability, and will be scheduled based on business needs.
• Able to finish by 8 pm and start at 6 am.
• 1 year of experience as a barista in a busy fast-paced establishment is required.
• 6 months of serving is an asset
• Baking or kitchen experience is an asset
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Collaborative, honest and dependable
• Attentive to detail and quality while multitasking
• Reliable, punctual and independent
• Fluent in English
