Job summary

Pigeonhole, located in Calgary, seeks a Bar Supervisor to oversee front-of-house operations on-site. You will lead and train hourly staff, manage service standards, and ensure a positive guest experience while coordinating beverages, inventory, and safety compliance.

This role offers opportunities to optimize service and mentoring within a dynamic downtown venue. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in cocktail bars and strong knowledge of drinks, customer service, and leadership under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cocktail bar experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beverages, food and beverage operations, and customer service.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage employee concerns, performance reviews, and disciplinary matters.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to delegate and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and support hourly staff.
• Onboard and train new employees, monitor performance, encourage teamwork, and recognize staff achievements.
• Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and quality.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Assist with ordering, inventory, portion control, and billing to support departmental profits.
• Maintain cleanliness, equipment and safety; follow regulations and company policies.
• Ensure efficient service, meet drink prep times, attend meetings, and assist with administrative duties.
