HMSHost in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a bartender to greet guests, take drink orders, mix cocktails, and serve beverages while communicating with the team about ticket times and potential issues. This non-exempt role reports to the store/restaurant management and requires excellent service and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, handling cash, maintaining bar cleanliness, and ensuring compliant alcohol service with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must meet provincial age requirement for serving alcohol.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience in high-volume setting preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and preparation methods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take drink/food orders, upsell where possible.
• Mix beverages following recipes and maintain bar stock.
• Handle payments and operate cash registers per policies; ensure cash security.
• Maintain clean, sanitized bar and assist in closing procedures.
• Communicate any ticket times or issues to management.
