Job description

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks

• Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
• Monitor staff performance
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Train staff
• Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Provide customer service

Support for newcomers and refugees

• Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
• Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees

Support for youths

• Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth
• Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
• Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to foster inclusivity for Indigenous workers
• Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
