Job summary

Hotel Arts Group in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Banquet Server for SAIT Curated Catering. You will travel the SAIT campus and work with the SAIT Curated Catering Kitchen team to deliver outstanding hospitality and seamless service to guests.

The role requires a team player with strong communication, the ability to multi-task, and physical stamina for setup, service, and teardown. ProServe certification is required; weekend and flexible hours are expected; gratuities are included.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must be able to work weekends and closing shifts.
• Experience in food & beverage is an asset.
• Knowledge of banquet service techniques is an asset.
• Ability to lift 25–30 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, banquet style serving, and guest assistance.
• Provide high level hospitality to guests across SAIT campus venues.
• Coordinate with kitchen team for smooth service and timing.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety during events.

The Banquet Server for SAIT Curated Catering will have the opportunity to travel the SAIT campus and provide excellent hospitality service. You will work in tandem with the SAIT Curated Catering Kitchen team to ensure the best customer experience possible.

Job Requirements:

• Strong team player and able to work with little supervision
• Required to work flexible hours. Must be able to work weekends, and closing shifts as needed.All shift times currently available (daytime included)
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and handle competing priorities
• Bartending experience is an asset
• Experience in a food and beverage environment is an asset
• Knowledge of banquet food service techniques is an asset
• Completing set up, tear down, banquet style serving, and assisting guests.
• Walking and standing are required for most parts of the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and carry items of 25 - 30lbs.
• Must have valid Alberta ProServe Certification
