Job summary

Wanuskewin Heritage Park is seeking a Banquet Server for part-time events in Saskatoon. You will set up banquet spaces, serve food and beverages, and collaborate with kitchen and event teams to deliver warm, culturally respectful service.

The role requires at least 1 year of restaurant or banquet experience, the ability to multitask, and flexibility to work early mornings, nights and weekends. CPR/First Aid and Food Safe Level 1 are assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant or banquet service.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are an asset.
• Food safety certification (Food Safe Level 1) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive and courteous service, responding to guests' needs throughout the event.
• Serving food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner.
• Setting up tables, chairs, linens, AV equipment, banquet presentations, coffee and water service and other banquet materials before events.
• Cleaning catering facilities including tables, floors, chairs, chafers, dishes, utensils, and tableware.
• Responsible for safe storage of all catering equipment and event breakdown after the event.

Culinary - Banquets Part Time Saskatoon, SK Starting at $16.13 CAD per hour

As a Banquet Server, you will play a vital role in creating welcoming and memorable events that reflect the values of Indigenous hospitality. Position Summary:

As a Banquet Server, you’ll be the heartbeat of our events—ensuring guests feel welcomed, cared for, and wowed by their experience. You’ll work closely with our kitchen and event teams to create seamless dining moments that honor tradition and elevate celebration. This role involves setting up and breaking down banquet spaces, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean, organized environment throughout the event. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential for success in this position.

Your duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing attentive and courteous service, responding to guests' needs throughout the event
• Serving food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner
• Setting up tables, chairs, linens, audio visual equipment, banquet presentations, coffee and water service and other banquet materials before events
• Cleaning catering facilities including table, floors, chairs, chafers, dishes, utensils, tableware etc.
• Responsible for safe storage of all catering equipment
• Responsible for event breakdown and clean-up once the event concludes
• Follow requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
• Representing Wanuskewin with a professional appearance and attitude
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant or banquet service.
• CPR, First Aid certification considered an asset.
• Food safe level 1 considered an asset.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve.
• Ability to work early mornings, nights and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically fit. Able to stand, walk, lift for the majority of the shift as well as able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds or more.

Additional Requirements:

• A satisfactory criminal record check is required as a condition of employment.
• Wanuskewin is located outside of Saskatoon city limits and public transportation is not available. Reliable personal transportation is required.
• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and present a satisfactory driver's abstract.
