Job summary

Gateway Rama Resort is seeking a part-time banquet server to deliver high-quality guest experiences for corporate events and celebrations. You will assist with setup and teardown, serve drinks and menu items, and maintain knowledge of all banquet offerings.

The role requires at least one year of serving experience, with banquet serving as an asset. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and overtime as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year serving experience, preferably in hotel/conference hospitality.
• Banquet serving experience is an asset.
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate is an asset.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods; overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down banquet/meeting rooms.
• Serve drinks, buffet and a la carte items; maintain knowledge of banquet offerings.
• Arrange settings, clear dishes, clean tables and change linens.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures banquet/meeting rooms are set up and taken down
• Serves drinks, buffet and a la carte menu items; maintains current knowledge of all banquet items
• Places settings, removes dishes, cleans tables, and changes table linens
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Minimum one year serving experience preferably in the hotel conference / hospitality industry
• Banquet Serving experience an asset
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate an asset
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Overtime as required
