Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Langley, BC is seeking a friendly banquet server to support elegant corporate events. You will set up and break down banquet spaces, serve drinks and buffet items, and ensure menus are current.

The role is casual with overtime as required; minimum one year serving experience in hotel/conference settings is preferred. FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year serving experience in the hotel/conference/hospitality industry.
• Banquet serving experience is an asset.
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensures banquet/meeting rooms are set up and taken down.
• Serves drinks, buffet and a la carte menu items; maintains current knowledge of all banquet items.
• Places settings, removes dishes, cleans tables, and changes table linens.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures banquet/meeting rooms are set up and taken down
• Serves drinks, buffet and a la carte menu items; maintains current knowledge of all banquet items
• Places settings, removes dishes, cleans tables, and changes table linens
• Other duites as assigned

What You Bring

• Minimum one year serving experience preferably in the hotel conference / hospitality industry
• Banquet Serving experience an asset
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate an asset
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Overtime as required
