Job summary

Four Points by Sheraton - Kelowna Airport is seeking friendly Banquet Servers to join our team. You will set up and service events with professionalism and pride in hospitality.

We offer weekend and holiday shifts, with comprehensive benefits including extended health and dental and staff discounts across Marriott brands. Prior restaurant experience is an asset and a Serving it Right certificate is required or obtainable on hire.

• Previous restaurant experience is an asset.
• Valid Serving it Right certificate or willingness to obtain.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to take direction.

• Open availability for varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down events according to Banquet Event Orders.
• Greet clients and guests, respond to requests promptly and friendly.
• Provide food and beverage service throughout the banquet.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
• Offer professional, friendly hospitality to guests.
• Support teamwork with hotel staff.
• Ensure guest satisfaction during service.
• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and services.
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are also on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel. Our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees near the bus loop at UBCO!

What will you be doing?

• Set up and take down events according to Banquet Event Orders
• Greet and welcome client representative and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Provide food & beverage service throughout the banquet
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all guests
• Foster and practice teamwork and cooperation with all other positions existing in the hotel
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary
• Monitor food quality and presentation standardsOther duties as assigned or required

What are we looking for?

• Previous restaurant experience is an asset
