Job summary

Steele Hotels is seeking a casual Banquet Setup Crew member for JAG Hotel in St. John's, NL. You will set up event spaces, arrange tables and equipment, and coordinate with teammates to ensure smooth operations.

A minimum of 2 years' forklift experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment are required. We offer competitive pay, RRSP matching, EFAP, paid time off, and other employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' forklift experience.
• Ability to provide a clear driving record (driver's abstract).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy items safely.
• Commitment to safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up and arrange tables and equipment according to event specifications.
• Dismantle and store tables and equipment after events, following safety protocols.
• Operate a forklift to transport tables to storage areas.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient setup and takedown.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in setup areas and storage facilities.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
