Job summary

The Americana Conference Resort & Spa seeks skilled bartenders to prepare and serve beverages at events, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to liquor laws. You will interact with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations while maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar.

Responsibilities include checking IDs, processing payments, assisting with setup/breakdown, and upholding safety policies and high service standards during events and banquets.

Qualifications

• Bartending and serving experience is required.
• Valid Smart Serve Certification required.
• Some high school education.
• Experience in banquet, hotel, restaurant, or events is an asset.
• Knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits, and other beverages.
• Strong knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages to guests at events.
• Interact with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Check IDs and ensure guests meet legal drinking age.
• Maintain a clean, stocked bar and banquet areas.
• Operate cash register and balance cash receipts.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet functions.
• Assist in keeping banquet facilities neat, clean, and presentable.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as required.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
