Job summary

Tidan Inc. is seeking a banquet staff member at our Sainte-Adèle location. Join a ski-in/ski-out setting atop Mont Gabriel and help craft memorable events for guests in a warm, team-oriented environment.

You will collaborate with the banquet team to arrange rooms, tables, chairs, decorations, and AV equipment, ensuring flawless setup before events and attentive service during breaks and meals. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or food service is an asset.
• Team-oriented with the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Physically fit for lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly during events.

Responsibilities

• Work with the banquet team to set up and breakdown events efficiently.
• Prepare and organize banquet rooms per event requirements.
• Set up tables, chairs, decorations, and AV equipment.
• Assist service staff with meeting spaces, coffee breaks, and lunch boxes.
• Support equipment or material needs during events and stock management.
• Respond to guest requests, rearrange furniture or materials as needed.
• Participate in post-event takedown and proper storage of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms and storage of cutlery, dishware, and linens.
• Communicate effectively with team for seamless service.
• Adhere to schedule and uniform policies.

Your Responsibilities

Work closely with the banquet team to ensure efficient setup and breakdown of events.

Prepare and organize banquet rooms based on the specific requirements of each event, following the department manager’s guidelines.

Handle setup of tables, chairs, decorations, and audiovisual equipment, ensuring everything is in place before guests arrive.

Assist service staff in setting up meeting spaces and coffee break areas, and provide service during coffee breaks and lunch box distributions.

Support any equipment or material needs during events.

Respond to special guest requests, such as rearranging furniture or adding/removing materials.

Participate in post-event takedown, ensuring proper storage of all equipment and furnishings.

Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of banquet rooms, including storage of cutlery, dishware, and linens.

Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless and coordinated service.

Adhere to scheduled work hours and follow company policies on appearance and uniform standards.
