Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. in Ottawa, Canada, seeks a key store leader to deliver exceptional customer service and guide the department to strong business results.

You will partner with the Store Manager and Retail Specialist to bring strategy to life while building a culture of trust, engagement, and high performance. Through hands-on leadership, coaching, and oversight of inventory, scheduling, and payroll, you will develop a high-performing team and ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
• Post-secondary program in business.
• Public Health Food Handler, Smart Serve, and First Aid/ CPR certification or plan to obtain.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort with manual and automated systems; experience with various computer software applications.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• English fluency; French language skills considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting Farm Boy's vision of the best fresh shopping experience.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and Retail Specialist to drive performance and achieve goals.
• Lead recruitment, training, coaching, and performance reviews to build a high-performance team.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, item maintenance, rotation, and payroll functions.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and company policies across the store.
• Participate in store coverage rotations as Manager on Duty (opening/closing duties).
• Support regulatory compliance and never compromise product quality.
