Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples and inform customers of specials.
3. Provide fresh products, correct portions, and prevent shrinkage.
4. Recommend bakery or deli items to customers.
5. Operate bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens.
6. Follow food safety protocols, including temperature logs and cooking instructions.
7. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
8. Properly package, label, and inventory ingredients.
9. Check product quality and review expiration dates.
10. Use kitchen equipment like stoves, fryers, steamers, etc.
11. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
12. Report discrepancies in orders or shipments.
13. Assist customers in locating products and staying informed about promotions.
14. Maintain product knowledge and respond to customer inquiries.
15. Monitor inventory and ensure proper temperature maintenance.
16. Create a welcoming environment and adhere to food safety regulations.
17. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
18. Report accidents and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
19. Act with honesty and integrity, and follow all safety procedures.
20. Support respectful interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
21. Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
