Lake Country Co-op in La Ronge, Saskatchewan is hiring a full-time Bakery Clerk (40 hours/week) for our Food Store location. You will prep, package, label bakery products, maintain FIFO, and provide legendary service to members and guests.

Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, you should have experience in a retail bakery setting, be service-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is expected; Food Safe familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail bakery setting is considered an asset.
• Enthusiastic, honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
• Strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting of heavy items and standing for an entire shift.
• Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• Flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, responsibilities for the position include the following:

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Prepare, package, and label bakery products to Lake Country Co-op standards while maintaining production records.
• Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards.
• Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory is on the shelf; follow First in, first out (FIFO).
• Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department.
• Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
