Job summary

Trans-United Consultants Ltd. is seeking a detail‑oriented Bag Machine Operator for rotating shifts in Mississauga, ON.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and hands‑on experience in a printing environment, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform mechanical adjustments. You will operate bag converting equipment, prepare rolls, re‑web machines, set slitting blades, and maintain glue levels while using ShopFloor software for labeling, counting and palletizing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in printing industry preferred.
• Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• SHIFT ROTATION: Days, Afternoons, Nights.
• Operate bag converting machines to meet daily production targets.
• Roll preparation; Re‑web machine; Machine adjustments.
• Adjust slits, blades, and glue levels; replace parts as needed.
• Cut and install bottom pasters; maintain glue levels.
• Use ShopFloor software for labeling, counting and palletizing.
• Machine cleaning.

Duties / Responsibilities

• SHIFT ROTATION: Days (2 weeks), Afternoons (2 weeks), Nights (2 weeks)
• Operator bag converting machines at required dial speeds and working towards achieving daily production targets while preserving quality according to customer specs
• Roll preparation
• Re-web machine
• Machine adjustments
• Adjust slits, adjust / replace tucking blades, adjust and / or replace spots, change coarse / fine knives
• Cut and install correct bottom pasters, maintain glue levels
• Use ShopFloor software, labelling, counting and palletizing
• Machine cleaning

Location Mississauga, Ontario

Pay Range $19/hr + benefits + increase after 6 mths
