Job summary

Affirm's Batch Developer Experience team builds batch development and testing tools to speed and stabilize workloads. As a developer on this team you will partner with product and infrastructure engineers to create tools that streamline workflows and improve reliability of Affirm's batch processing.

The role requires 1.5+ years as a software engineer, with backend design and development in Python or Kotlin, and familiarity with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems.
Proficient in Python or Kotlin.
Familiar with distributed systems and AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes.
Strong code quality via tests and reviews.
Ownership mindset and proactive growth.
Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Break down projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
Collaborate with product, design, and analytics through ideation and constraints.
