Job summary

Northland Properties is seeking a Kitchen Helper & Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, wash dishes and equipment, and assist staff with basic food preparation to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

The role includes cleaning and sanitizing areas, restocking supplies, and supporting staff during busy periods while following food safety standards and workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, work surfaces, sinks, and garbage areas.
• Remove garbage and recycling as required.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables as required.
• Fill and organize kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Assist kitchen staff with restocking and putting away deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods as needed.
• Follow restaurant policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Kitchen Helper & Dishwasher

The Kitchen Helper and Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, and assisting kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other kitchen duties to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing and Cleaning

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and sanitary.
