Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking a highly skilled B-Pressure Welder with strong fabrication experience for a long-term shop-based project in Alberta. The role requires precision welding on carbon steel piping and components and collaboration with pipefitters and shop crew.

You must hold a Journeyperson Welder Certification and B-Pressure Certification (Red Seal/recognized trade), CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and F6-F4 ticket.

Qualifications

• CSTS 2020.
• WHMIS 2015.
• F6 - F 4 (RMD/STT) ticket.
• A Journeyperson Welder Certification and B-Pressure Certification (Red Seal/recognized trade ticket).
• Shop fabrication experience preferred; field background considered if shop skills are strong.
• Ability to meet or exceed production welding targets.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Organized, self-driven and able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate B-Pressure welding on Carbon steel piping and components.
• Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass inspections.
• Collaborate with Pipefitters, apprentices and shop crew to maintain flow.
• Mentor and guide apprentices as needed.
• Maintain safe work practices and uphold quality, safety and efficiency.

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking a highly skilled B-Pressure Welder with strong fabrication experience in a shop setting, proven high-volume production ability, and an eye for detail to join our team for a long-term fabrication project.

• Schedule Rotation: Monday to Friday

Night shift and day shift available

What You Will Be Working On

Perform accurateB-Pressurewelding on Carbon steel piping and components

• Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass required inspections

Work collaboratively with Pipefitters, apprentices, and shop crew to maintain efficient shop flow.

• Mentor and guide apprentices as needed.

Maintain safe work practices and uphold shop standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
