Job summary

ARJAE Design Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Journeyman B Pressure Welder for our Nisku facility. The role demands 5+ years of pressure vessel and piping fabrication, with versatility across position welding, table fitting, and spooling of carbon/stainless steel. Proficiency in 6010, SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW is required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal Welder with a valid Alberta B Pressure Welding Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of pressure vessel and/or process piping fabrication experience.
• Strong position welding experience, including 6010.
• Current or previous performance qualifications in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW on carbon and stainless steel.
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel process piping and spooling.
• Must be capable and willing to perform table fitting, layout, and fabrication work in addition to welding.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, specifications, and welding procedures.
• Strong understanding of fit-up, weld preparation, preheat requirements, and fabrication tolerances.
• Strong verbal communication skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Safety-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Valid First Aid and other HSE-related tickets are considered an asset.
• Previous lead hand or supervisory experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, layout, fit, and weld pressure vessels and process piping.
• Perform position welding using 6010 and other applicable welding processes and procedures.
• Perform table fitting and fabrication of carbon steel and stainless steel piping/spooling.
• Read, follow, and interpret fabrication drawings, isometrics, specifications, and welding procedures.
• Fit and weld carbon steel and stainless steel piping and pressure vessel components.
• Cut and prepare material using plasma and oxy-acetylene cutting equipment.
• Weld using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and other approved welding processes as required.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship with a strong focus on quality, fit-up, and accuracy.
• Perform regular maintenance and care of welding tools and equipment.
• Work safely and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a fabrication team while also being capable of completing assigned work independently.
• Perform other duties as required to support shop production.

We are currently looking for an experiencedJourneyman B Pressure Welderwith 5+ years experience in the fabrication of stainless and carbon steel pressure vessels and process piping for our Nisku facility.

The ideal candidate will be aversatile welder/fitterwho is comfortable working in multiple areas of fabrication, includingposition welding, table fitting, and carbon and stainless steel spooling. Experience with6010 welding in positionis required.
