Job summary

Bank of Canada is looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect for a two-year hybrid remote role in Canada. You will oversee enterprise architecture for a back-office program, coordinating cloud, container, security and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure solutions.

You will develop and govern architecture deliverables, lead reviews, and align Azure/OpenShift/Kubernetes stacks with multi-cloud strategies while applying FinOps and governance practices across the SDLC.

Qualifications

10+ years in information technology with 5+ years in solution architecture for complex environments.
Experience designing cloud-native and container-based solutions on Azure/OpenShift/Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Azure IaaS, networking, security, data protection and workload portability.
Ability to lead architecture reviews, governance, and SDLC collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee architecture activities for a new back-office program across cloud, container, database, integration, security, and operations teams.
Develop and govern the Solution Architecture Document and architecture decision records.
Facilitate architecture reviews, risk assessments, and governance with compliance to standards.
Ensure alignment across Azure, OpenShift, SQL, IBM MQ, networking, security, and observability workstreams.
Coordinate cross-functional dependencies and issue resolution through development, testing, deployment, and production milestones.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, scalable, and supportable technology solutions.
