Job summary

InCycle Software in Canada seeks a Principal AI Architect to own Azure-native AI and agentic system architectures for enterprise clients. You will define how LLMs, agent frameworks and Azure services cohere into production platforms with data residency in Canada.

You will write reference implementations, mentor engineers, and steer technical decisions for reliable, secure, observable AI services across client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for Azure-hosted AI platforms and orchestration patterns.
• Lead solution design on Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Foundry Agent Service with RAG and vector indexing.
• Set standards for prompt and tool orchestration, MCP integrations, and guardrails.
• Architect services around AKS, Azure Functions, API Management, Event Grid, and data stores with Entra ID and Key Vault.
• Design for data residency in Canada and governance controls.
• Build observability, evaluation, cost and latency budgets, and governance.
• Own LLM inference trade-offs, model choices, caching, and throughput.
• Collaborate with product/data/delivery to translate business goals into roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to AI tooling and Copilot usage.
