Overview

GFL Environmental is seeking a G/DZ/AZ Commercial Box Truck Operator to join our growing liquid team based in Brantford. The role requires motivation, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships and promote our wide range of services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre and post trip inspections of trucks.
• Complete assigned routes as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Provide exceptional on-site customer service and promote GFL’s services.
• Operate a box truck, deliver products, and pick up waste materials such as oil filters, plastics, drums of automotive fluids, and service parts washers/spray gun machines.
• Complete paperwork in compliance with GFL and TDG regulations; maintain cleanliness of trucks and equipment.
• Participate in safety programs including meetings, risk assessments, and hazard evaluations.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• Valid G/DZ/AZ Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Availability for full-time day shifts (8-10 hours).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Customer service experience and a self-motivated attitude.
• Experience in safety-sensitive environments; flexible with potential overnight trips.
• Dependability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor in challenging situations.
• Willingness to work overtime and in a fast-paced setting.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift 75+ lbs.
• Waste management experience is an asset.
