Job description

GFL Environmental is seeking a G/DZ/AZ Commercial Box Truck Operator to join our expanding liquid team in Brantford. The role requires a motivated, professional individual with excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships and promote GFL’s services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned trucks.
2. Complete routes as scheduled by the Operations Manager.
3. Deliver exceptional on-site service and promote GFL’s offerings.
4. Operate a box truck to deliver products and collect waste, including automotive fluids and plastics, and service parts washers/spray guns.
5. Complete service paperwork adhering to GFL and TDG regulations; maintain cleanliness of truck and equipment.
6. Participate in safety programs, including meetings and hazard assessments.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Valid G/DZ/AZ driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Ability to operate manual transmission (DZ/AZ).
• Availability for full-time day shifts (8-10 hours).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Customer service experience.
• Self-motivated and dependable.
• Experience in safety-sensitive environments.
• Willingness to work out of town and overnight if required.
• Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs and manual dexterity.
• Waste management experience is an asset.
