Job summary

ACS Logistics, a division of JD Smith, is seeking an experienced AZ Driver based in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Start time is 4:30AM (Mon-Fri). The role involves delivering packages, communicating with Dispatch, and maintaining safety and paperwork across daily routes.

Benefits include a company-paid plan after waiting period, typical weekly hours of 44–55, overtime paid at 1.5x after 44 hours, and driver-assist load premiums. Applicants will be subject to checks prior to an offer.

Qualifications

• AZ driving experience of 1 year (required).
• AZ Driver’s License (required).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Dispatch to maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery time.
• Advise Dispatch immediately when conditions change, and an assigned load cannot be picked up or delivered on schedule.
• Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver packages to customers on time
• Interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Complete all paperwork as required.
• Complete thorough pre- and post-trip inspections at the start and end of each shift.
• Monitor service and safety inspection requirements of assigned tractor and trailers.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers.
• Responsible for loading and unloading tailgate trailer.
• Keep vehicle clean and litter free.
• Drive safely at all times.
• Adhere to company speed policies.
• Report any incidents or accidents immediately.
