Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a dependable AZ Truck Driver in Cornwall, Ontario. The role involves local deliveries into Quebec, with day and evening shifts Monday to Friday and overtime as needed.

You will operate dry van equipment, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries while upholding customer service excellence. Ideal candidates have an AZ license, clean CVOR, recent driving experience, and a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance, including

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver's license.
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract.
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year).
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and load securement.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter conditions.
• Ability to complete eLogs and delivery documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across city/local routes
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Cornwall in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Operate dry van equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
• Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements

• Valid AZ driver's license
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year)
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
• Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
• Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach

Role-Specific Requirements

• Minimum2Years of verifiable AZ driving experience
• Strong knowledge of Cornwall and surrounding areas
• LTL experience is an asset
• Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
