Job summary

FTAI Aviation Ltd. is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our Gas Turbine Engine Maintenance Tooling team in Dorval, Canada.

The role focuses on designing tooling, creating 3D models, and supporting manufacturing and inspection tasks within a high‑precision aerospace environment. You will gain hands‑on experience with additive manufacturing, CAD tools, and analytical problem solving while contributing to tool development for engine maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials.
• Experience with CAD for manufacturing drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with 3D printing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and improvement of tool designs with tooling engineers.
• Create and modify 3D models using CAD software.
• Prepare technical drawings for manufacturing and inspection.
• Post-process and analyze optical scans and inspection data.
• Support machinists and technicians in tool fabrication and repair.
• Participate in 3D printing projects from requirements to CAD modeling to printing.
