Qualifications

• University degree in business or finance or equivalent work experience.
• At least five years of insurance brokerage experience.
• Proven success building a profitable book of business.
• Technical knowledge of product area or industry.
• Good knowledge of markets and their policy wordings.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain and develop relationships with broker partners, clients, and operations.
• Produce new business through networking and prospecting.
• Generate new and expanded business opportunities through broker channels and insurer relationships.
• Make recommendations to update and enhance client insurance policies.
• Ensure duties for new business and renewals are completed with the team.
• Resolve client, carrier, and accounting issues, including billing and claims.
• Ensure compliance with BFL CANADA procedures.
• Develop and execute an annual formal business plan.
• Perform annual client stewardship reviews with the team.
• Maintain regular contact with existing clients to deliver quality service.
