Job summary

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is seeking an Audio-Visual & IT Services Specialist to deliver high-quality AV services and provide Service Desk support for onsite and hybrid environments.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Service Desk, the role focuses on meetings, events, and conferencing solutions, with hands-on AV system management at the Assessment Centre and occasional support at the main offices.

Qualifications

• Three years of technical AV experience across live events and meetings.
• Hands-on service desk experience delivering first-line IT support.
• Experience with Crestron, Extron or QSC control systems.
• Foundational IT knowledge including Microsoft 365 and device troubleshooting.
• Certifications in Microsoft 365, collaboration tech, or AV environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of high-quality client-centric AV services for onsite and hybrid events.
• Design fit-for-purpose AV solutions by interpreting event requirements.
• Oversee lifecycle of AV services from setup to dismantling.
• Provide advanced AV hardware and software support during events.
• Serve as senior onsite technical authority for high-stakes environments.
