Job summary

Midas International, LLC is seeking automotive technicians to join a full-service facility in Newmarket, Ontario. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance with state-of-the-art equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a Provincial Certificate of Qualification, can work independently and with peers, and is comfortable servicing both import and domestic vehicles. We offer a flexible schedule, paid time off, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Ontario Provincial Certificate of Qualification.
• Own tools/equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires and engine diagnostics.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Car heating and air conditioning

• Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Batteries, starting and charging

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
