Job summary

Midas is hiring automotive technicians in Ontario. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles in a full-service shop.

The role requires independence and teamwork, with the opportunity to learn advanced diagnostic systems and contribute to high-quality service. Applicants should hold a Provincial Certificate of Qualification, possess a valid driver's license, and bring or be willing to acquire the necessary diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Provincial Certificate of Qualification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own tools/equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.
• Learn diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems.
• Handle tires, brakes, steering, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Identify and replace belts and hoses as needed.
• Inspect for engine faults and check engine light indicators.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment safely.

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You are currently registered as an apprentice in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

• Willing to learn Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tires and tire repair
• Knowledge of Car heating and air conditioning
• Knowledge Steering and suspension
• Ability to identify and replace Belts and hoses
• Knows or willing to learn Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Able to change vehicle Batteries, and perform AVR tests
• Knowledge of Steering and suspension
• Knows to replace brakes or in the process of learning Brake repair
• Oil and filter change services
• Check engine light
• Knowledge of Mufflers and exhaust services
• Visual courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
