Job summary

At Midas Whitby, we are dedicated to quality vehicle service. We seek automotive technicians who can work independently within a full-service shop and collaborate with peers as needed.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles using state-of-the-art equipment, and contribute to a culture of safety and success. Applicants hold a Provincial Certificate of Qualification, possess a valid driver’s license, and can service both import and domestic vehicles.

Qualifications

• Provincial Certificate of Qualification required.
• Ability to repair vehicles independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires and diagnostics.
• Experience using lifts, tire equipment, aligners and diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license and own tools preferred.

• Car heating and air conditioning work.
• Steering and suspension maintenance.
• Belts and hoses inspection and replacement.
• Radiator and engine cooling system service.

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You hold a valid and current Certificate of Qualification in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tires and tire repair
• Car heating and air conditioning
• Steering and suspension
• Belts and hoses
• Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Batteries, starting and charging
• Steering and suspension
• Brake repair
• Oil services
• Check engine light
• Mufflers and exhaust services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
