Job summary

Midas International, LLC is seeking automotive technicians who can work independently and with peers in a full‑service facility in Ontario. The role focuses on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across a wide vehicle range while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidates are apprentices currently registered in Ontario, possess a willingness to learn, and can operate or learn shop equipment including lifts and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as an apprentice in Ontario.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires and engine diagnostics.
• Own tools/equipment preferred; shop tools provided as needed.
• Commitment to safety and environmental standards in repair facilities.

Responsibilities

• Willing to learn diagnostics using state‑of‑the‑art computer systems.
• Tires and tire repair.
• Knowledge of car heating and air conditioning.
• Knowledge of steering and suspension.
• Ability to identify and replace belts and hoses.
• Knowledge of radiator and engine cooling systems.
• Able to change vehicle batteries and perform AVR tests.
• Brake repair knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Oil and filter change services.
• Check engine light diagnostics.
• Knowledge of mufflers and exhaust services.
• Visual courtesy inspections.

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You are currently registered as an apprentice in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

• Willing to learn Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems


• Tires and tire repair


• Knowledge of Car heating and air conditioning


• Knowledge Steering and suspension


• Ability to identify and replace Belts and hoses


• Knows or willing to learn Radiator and engine cooling systems


• Able to change vehicle Batteries, and perform AVR tests


• Knowledge of Steering and suspension


• Knows to replace brakes or in the process of learning Brake repair


• Oil and filter change services


• Check engine light


• Knowledge of Mufflers and exhaust services


• Visual courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment


• Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics


• Track record of high personal productivity


• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities


• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools


• Provincial Certificate of Qualification


• Valid driver’s license


• Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)


• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
