Job summary

Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore is seeking Automotive Technicians from Level 1–4 Apprentices through to Red Seal Certified Technicians to join our Service Department in North Vancouver. As a Hyundai Service Technician, you will diagnose, inspect, and repair a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Level 1–4 Apprentice Technician or Red Seal Certified.
• Currently enrolled in or actively pursuing Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles per manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections with accurate documentation.
• Identify issues, recommend solutions, and communicate findings to the service team.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors on repair timelines and safety work.
• Conduct road tests and pre-delivery inspections on new inventory.
• Source parts with the Parts Department and assist colleagues to maintain productivity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized shop environment and follow safety policies.
