Job summary

Baytowne Hyundai in Barrie, Ontario is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our high-volume dealership team. You will learn automotive service tasks under supervision, performing inspections, repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency and customer-focused service, with opportunities to develop diagnostic and repair skills across drivability, suspensions, brakes, heating/cooling, and exhaust systems.

Qualifications

• Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use diagnostics equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn automotive service tasks by performing supervised inspections, repairs, maintenance and installations.
• Assist with drivability, suspensions, alignments, steering, heating and air conditioning, brakes and exhaust systems as skills develop.
• Ensure work conforms to manufacturer quality and safety standards.

Baytowne Hyundai is currently seeking an ApprenticeTechnician to join our team of customer focused professionals withinour high volume and process-driven dealership.

Purpose/Summary ofPosition:

The Apprentice Service Technician learns automotive servicesby performing supervised inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installationsefficiently, safely and according to manufacturer quality and time standards.Complies with manufacturer and dealership’s safety and environmental programsand practices. Automotive services may include, but are not limited todrivability, suspensions, alignments, steering, heating and air conditioning,basic and ABS brakes and exhaust systems. These services are dependent onApprenticeship level.
