Job summary

The University of Alberta is seeking a dedicated vehicle technician to service and repair the University's owned fleet, including passenger cars, vans, hybrids, buses, trailers and trucks. This role has a term length of 1 year plus 1 day.

This is an in-person position at North Campus and South Campus Edmonton, with duties including vehicle inspections, parts procurement, work-order management and providing technical guidance to supervisors, colleagues and staff across campus.

This position is responsible for the comprehensive servicing and repair of the University of Alberta's owned vehicles. This encompasses a diverse range of units, including passenger cars, vans, hybrid vehicles, buses, trailers and trucks, ranging from Class 1 to Class 7. Essential duties also include the execution of commercial vehicle inspections, the procurement of necessary parts, the management of work orders, and the provision of technical guidance to supervisors, colleagues, and other University staff.
