Job summary

The University of Alberta is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to service and repair the university’s owned vehicles across North Campus and South Campus Edmonton. The role covers passenger cars, vans, hybrids, buses, trailers and trucks from Class 1 to Class 7.

You will perform commercial vehicle inspections, procure parts, manage work orders, and provide guidance to supervisors and colleagues. This is a term position based in Edmonton with in-person duties.

Job description

Location - This role is in-person at North Campus and South Campus Edmonton.

This position is responsible for the comprehensive servicing and repair of the University of Alberta's owned vehicles. This encompasses a diverse range of units, including passenger cars, vans, hybrid vehicles, buses, trailers and trucks, ranging from Class 1 to Class 7. Essential duties also include the execution of commercial vehicle inspections, the procurement of necessary parts, the management of work orders, and the provision of technical guidance to supervisors, colleagues, and other University staff.
