Job summary

The Municipal Group of Companies’ Equipment and Maintenance Team in Saint John, NB is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This full-time, permanent position offers opportunities for career development and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will diagnose faults, adjust or replace parts, test systems to manufacturer specs, complete service reports, and help maintain a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal AST Certificate or Registered Apprentice.
• High attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate required equipment safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Working safely is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and malfunctions within automotive systems and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace parts and/or components.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Test repaired systems to ensure performance within manufacturer's specifications.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance activities.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking an Automotive Service Technician, based out of Saint John, NB, to join our team.
