Job summary

NS Diesel in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is hiring a full-time Licensed Automotive Service Technician. The ideal candidate is Red Seal certified or a 4th Year Apprentice with a Provincial Certificate, experienced with diesel and gas engines and diagnostic work.

You will join a professional, supportive team, work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a clean, well-equipped facility and a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation, health and dental coverage, RRSP, and training

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification or 4th Year Apprentice with Provincial Certificate.
• Experience with diesel and gasoline engines and diagnostic work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on diesel and gasoline vehicles.
• Complete alignments, suspension, brakes, and driveline work.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and find practical solutions.
• Support and mentor students during their shop placements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Maintain accurate records and follow processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with the team.
• Participate in training to stay current with technology and practices.

Position Summary

This position is ideal for a Red Seal certified technician or a 4th Year Apprentice with a Provincial Certificate who is experienced in diesel and gas engines including diagnostic work. Compensation and Benefits

• Straight-time hourly pay plus bonus hours incentive
• $30.00-$42.00 per hour
