Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a light duty automotive facility.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver’s abstract required.

Job description

MFM Limited Partnership is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for the position of Automotive Service Technician (AST)/Light Duty Mechanic to join our operation at the Syncrude Site.

MFM Limited Partnership, a Mikisew Group company, provides comprehensive client services in vehicle inspection and light duty repair services.

Shift and Duration

• Shift: 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day (30-minute unpaid lunch). Work is conducted under an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement (HWAA) - formerly known as a Compressed Work Week.
• Duration: 3 months
• Residency: Local residency in Fort McMurray required. No camp/accommodations provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repair work and routine maintenance on light duty vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect light duty trucks, vans, cars, and support equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults using computerized and testing equipment to determine repair needs.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
• Complete service reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician (AST)
• Light Duty Technician Certification
• Red Seal Certification preferred
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver’s abstract (Mandatory)
• Successful completion of Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Screening
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a light duty automotive facility servicing light vehicles and support equipment.
• Candidates must provide their own general tools; a tool allowance is included in the compensation package.
