Job summary

AutoCanada is seeking a full-time Lot/Transport Associate for 417 Nissan in Ottawa. You will transport customers and staff, maintain the lot and showroom vehicles, and support Service and Sales.

Duties include parking, detailing, snow removal, and ensuring vehicles progress smoothly through reconditioning. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset.
• Dependable with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Maintain building and grounds as needed.
• Assist Service and Sales departments.
• Organize and park vehicles for sale and service.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
• Clean exteriors based on seasonal needs (e.g. snow removal).
• Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager.
• Place signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes.
• Monitor and organize vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process.
