Job summary

Fish Creek Nissan, part of AutoCanada, is seeking an Automotive Service Lot Attendant in Calgary to support vehicle transport and ensure the lot is organized and ready for customers. The role involves cleaning interiors and exteriors, inspecting for damages, and assisting with shop tasks as vehicles move through reconditioning.

Applicants should hold a valid driver’s license, have a strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools is a plus.
  • Must be dependable with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed.
  • Building and grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Service and Sales Department duties.
  • Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service.
  • Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
  • Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning to customer and report any damage immediately.
  • Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
  • Pick up parts from the Parts Department.
  • Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
  • Cleaning vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (e.g., snow removal).
  • Identify lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager.
  • Placing signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes.
  • Monitor and organize vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process.

Your area of focus.

In this position, theAutomotive Service LotAttendantwill be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaningthe interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will beplaced into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has thephysical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside thevehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.
