The Opportunity

Technician

Hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. No evenings and no weekends.

Located in Bathurst, we are looking for a Licensed Automotive Service Technician.

Must have own tools. Specialized tools will be supplied by Lounsbury.

This is a unionized position. Annual increases are awarded in February. The pay rate for a fully licensed Automotive Technician is $30/hour. Apprentices' pay rates are a percentage of the top rate based on hours worked in the apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Basic vehicle maintenance: tire rotations, oil changes, diagnosing complex problems, and planning and executing repairs
• Isolate systems or components that may have caused the problem
• Test drive vehicles and use diagnostic equipment
• Repair or replace worn parts proactively
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnostics and repairs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent for apprentices
• Licensed Automotive Service Technician through an accredited program or part of an apprenticeship
• Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to learn new technology and procedures
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• High integrity and strong work ethic
• Time management skills
